A brisk yet beautiful Sunday morning was perfect for a portrait session with Corrine and Gary. Their daughter booked me as a present for their 43rd wedding anniversary!
Nenia & Joe
I met with Nenia and Joe over the weekend to do engagement portraits at the beautiful Enfield Shaker Museum. The rain held off while we did photos and explored where they’re getting married in October. I’m looking forward to being there!
Racing Across Generations
A couple of weeks ago, I visited with the Ignacio family in Canaan, N.H., as they competed at the twice-monthly motocross races hosted by the Canaan Lions Club. Johnny Ignacio, 7, is following his father’s footsteps in riding at the track, one of the club’s biggest fundraisers. Johnny and his extended family are equally passionate for the sport! Follow this link to read the story in the Valley News.
John Ignacio, of Canaan, N.H, and his son Johnny, 7, wait to see if a replacement throttle cable can be found for his motorcycle while practicing at the Ridge Runner MX47 track in Canaan; Marissa Ignacio shows her son a video she made of him practicing; John Ignacio gives Johnny encouragement while he competes in one of two races at the Canaan Lions Club motocross races; Johnny describes to his grandmother, Suzan Ignacio, of Canaan, one of the races he did; Johnny collects his first place award from Canaan Lions Club member Joe Butterfield, of Canaan, in the trophy trailer at the motocross races.

Summertime News
Summertime is a special time in New Hampshire and Vermont. Everyone wants to be out and about before frost hits! Between vacations and an interim between interns, I’ve been able to be out and about with my camera for the Valley News instead of at my desk as photo editor. Here’s a few of my favorites!
From top: Main Street Museum Director David Fairbanks Ford gets a close-up look at one of his favorite gravestone designs at Hendee Cemetery in Woodstock, Vt.; Reghan Allen works on his Around-the-World trick during a gathering of the Yo-Yo Club at the Windsor (Vt.) Public Library; VALLEY NEWS staff writer Nicola Smith, at lower left, takes a cell phone photograph of the largest known glacial erratic in New England at the Madison Boulder Natural Area in Madison, N.H.; Mila Pinigin leads young dancers, from left, Gabrielle Anzalone, Emma Glazer, Alice Craft and others in the start of the Windmill dance during a Flock rehearsal in Sharon, Vt.

Back to Vermont
Last week, I had a portrait session with Douglas and Ginny during their visit to Vermont. We had to postpone our original session scheduled during their visit the summer before. With a beautiful morning recently near the Strafford border in a Tunbridge hay field, it seemed to be worth the wait!
More Funnery
For the past two weeks, my daughter has been a part of the Get Thee to The Funnery Shakespeare Camp in Chelsea, Vt. It’s her third year, and each summer her passion for the camp grows. Guided by their passionate camp directors, over two dozen teens learn and produce a play in just two weeks! This year, there were two performances of Romeo and Juliet indoors and out. Megan & Pete
The rain held off for Megan and Pete’s wonderful wedding celebration at Curtis Hollow Farm in Woodstock, Vt., last weekend. The event reflected their style and sense of humor — I was happy to be a part of it! Follow this link to see more on my Facebook page.
Familiar Faces
Last weekend I saw many familiar faces when I photographed a family reunion at Twin Lake Villa in New London, N.H. I last saw them when I photographed several of their weddings over a decade ago — it was great to see everyone again!
Amber & Scott
Last weekend, I did two weddings at my neighbors’ homes in Tunbridge, Vt. — Amber and Scott’s on Friday night was held in a former pasture that a year ago was totally overgrown. Their families did a lot of work to make the wedding happen, and it was beautiful! Follow this link to see more on my Facebook page.
Ashley & Cody
The second of the neighborhood weddings in Tunbridge, Vt., I photographed was held at Ashley’s father and stepmother’s home. Cody and Ashley are a sweet couple and it was such a happy celebration! Follow this link to see more on my Facebook page.
