Last weekend Aurore and Luke celebrated their first wedding anniversary with their wonderful nine-month-old son with a family portrait where they were married — on the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vt. What a treat! Follow this link to see more and to order prints in the Galleries section of my web site.
As the Upper Valley’s Town Meetings begin this week, I did my first video (yikes!) and portraits of a few elected officials for the Valley News and asked why they felt public service was important. Web editor Maggie Cassidy’s editing skills made the video shine!
From top, Euclid Farnham, Tunbridge’s moderator for 35 years; Kelly McConnell, Hanover school board member for two years; Mary O’Brien, on the Hartland selectboard for 14 years; Marianne A. Blake, elected as Windsor’s Lister/Assessor for 25 years; Jeff Peavey, Lebanon school board member for 14 years; Phil Carter, Canaan cemetery trustee for 10 years.
The other day Christine and Curtis invited me into their home to do a family portrait with their daughter Eve. Their extended families live out of the area and want to be kept up-to-date. I’m happy to oblige! Follow this link to see more in the Galleries section of my web site.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Keri asked me to come by their Hanover, N.H., home to do photos of her family visiting from California. The light rain didn’t keep us inside!
Last weekend we were planning to do senior and family portraits of Tenzing and his parents outdoors but we missed the beautiful weather by a day. Instead we made the best of it inside at Dartmouth College’s beautiful Black Family Visual Arts Center!
The other day I met Angela and her daughters to do portraits as a gift for her husband’s 50th birthday. We found shelter from the cold wind at the Enfield Shaker Museum, a beautiful location!
Last week Cara and Dean invited me back to photograph their growing family in Barnard, Vt. It’s my third visit for family portraits over the years — I also photographed their wedding in 2008. It’s a treat to be a part of their lives!
Over the weekend, I photographed Kim and Geoff’s family in Hanover, N.H. We started outdoors at the Storrs Pond Recreation Area and the fall chill proved to be too much for their boys. Back home, the brothers livened up once their bare feet hit the warm carpet!
Over the weekend Chris and Larisa asked me to photograph their young family during a college reunion in West Windsor, Vt. Getting a portrait done is an annual tradition for them — this year, the family grew with their friends’ kids joining the fun!
Over the weekend I met with Anna at a picturesque spot in Barnard, Vt., to do her senior portraits. It was a fitting location because Anna is pursuing environmental studies in college.
