Last weekend I enjoyed photographing Elizabeth, Jeff and their children in Hanover, N.H., and Norwich, Vt., as they did activities and, while they were catching their breath, a few portraits. On a sunny Saturday morning, Alicia, Josh and I made engagement portraits in beautiful Woodstock, Vt. It was a lot of fun picking places that complement their feelings for each other! Follow this link to see more (and to order prints and downloads) in the Galleries section of my website.
Before the sun melted the morning fog, I got together with Marie and Sheldon at Riverview Farm in Plainfield, N.H., to do engagement portraits. They’re getting married over Labor Day weekend in Connecticut and wanted to send along a bit of rural New England to their invited guests. I was happy to oblige! Last weekend I was invited to Lindsay and Jordan’s home in Randolph, Vt., to make family photographs with their son Carter. We incorporated early fall’s beautiful leaves, smiles and even ugly Christmas sweaters! Follow this link to see more (and to order prints and downloads) in the Galleries section of my web site.
Author Meg Little Reilly recently asked me to come by her Vermont home to do portraits for her upcoming book. It is a follow-up to her first novel, the well-received We Are Unprepared. I enjoyed meeting Meg and hearing about her adventures in book publishing! Follow this link to see more in the Galleries section of my web site.

Over the past few weeks, I have been photographing portraits of high school students for the Valley News’ annual Athlete of the Year award, given to a male and female from each of the 18 schools the newspaper covers. It was a privilege to meet and photograph so many great young people! Follow this link to see all of the athletes who are honored. Below are a few of my favorites:
Clockwise from upper left are Hanover’s Bri Laycock, Lebanon’s Ryan Milliken, Sunapee’s Katie Frederick, Thetford’s Connor Brown, Mid Vermont’s Rachel Seale and Woodsville’s Cooper Davidson.
Maggie Cassidy, the newspaper’s super-talented Web Editor, put together this fun video from footage I did with a second camera on the shoots.
Lisa and Ken recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows with their adult children and significant others at Coolidge State Park in Plymouth, Vt. Over the past three years, I’ve been doing a photo booth at Sharon Academy’s annual prom, where my daughter is a student. The prom is open to every student in the school. I enjoy photographing them with their dates, classmates, study and commuter groups. They’re a great group of kids!
