Family Reunion

On a beautiful Sunday morning, I did family photographs at the top of Middlebury Gap. They had traveled from Toronto to visit their oldest son, who just started at Middlebury College. Rob and Serena’s children are five years apart in age, from oldest to youngest. Just like my three sisters and I!

Best Friends

The other day I made a photo of kissing kids that reminded me of a photo I did of my daughter and her pal smooching a decade ago. Whenever the teens see each other now, they fall into their comfortable friendship. These two are pals from daycare — I photographed them and their families down the road in South Royalton, Vt.

Motherly Love

Suzanne recently asked me to come by her home to do a portrait for the public radio commentaries she does. Her daughter helped out in getting Suzanne to smile — but the best moments were getting both of them together!

Brotherly Love

Yesterday, Matt and Melissa invited me over to photograph their young family. I had a lot of fun capturing the energy of their two boys, brothers who are two years apart. Their younger sister held her own as well. I work with Matt at the Valley News — no wonder he comes to work tired some days!

The Graduate

This morning, I went up the road to do senior portraits of Allison on her family’s property. Allie used to sing in the church choir with my daughter, who was surprised to hear Allie’s nearing graduation from high school!

New Addition

Four years ago, I photographed Christina and Brendan’s wedding in Hartland, Vt. (My photo of them ringing the church bell afterwards is one of my favorites — click here to check it out!) Christina asked me to photograph their five-month-old son the other day — I’m happy to continue photographing life’s big and small moments.
